Application Procedures

Application procedures:

1. Applicants can download the Application Form for International Students to Yunnan University at our website

2. The filled-out form should be faxed (mailed or e-mailed) to CIS and the registration fee should be wired to CIS two months prior to the beginning of the school term.

3. Upon receiving the above items, the CIS will mail applicants or their agents the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Foreign Students to China (JW202).

4. The applicants forward the Admission Notice to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in their native land to apply, with JW202 form, for the “X” or “F” visa for entry intoChinato study. Students who come toChinaon an “L” visa or other types of visa can transfer their visas to “X” visas and will go through relevant procedures for Residence Permits.

5. Or applicants can apply for a Tourist Visa (“L” Visa) to come to Kunming. After arriving at Kunming, the applicants register at the college and the college will help them change their visas and get a “Residence Permit”.
